I learned how to find my style in a subject area that doesn't always grab my interest and to find things that I do love to photograph, as well as new techniques to help to capture them. I liked the take on using other art forms as inspiration such as Rothko. Love these workshops and would definitely recommend to others

It was very rainy and wet underfoot in a scene lacking much contrast so difficult to talk, be heard and instruct. Eva coped well in the circumstances. We couldn?t use our proper cameras due to the rain so it lacked full instructive experience. We learnt some about composition but it was difficult in the weather to structure the work. It would be nice to do the class again where we can focus on our own cameras and have our work assessed properly in an acceptable environment. It really needs to be done again.

It was nothing but grey skies and rain for days on end, but I decided that you don't always need epic sunsets for great photos. The dull weather also allowed me to get a 20 second exposure with an ND1000 filter giving that classic wispy water look. A wide angle lens allowed me to get nice and close and emphasize the subject, being that close also meant there was some close calls with the occasional freak wave coming up to where I had my tripod and me running back up the beach to escape them
